about
Written in 2004 (one of my oldest songs), this deals with the blissful feeling of when love is inevitable with "the one," it is my corny take on love songs.
lyrics
They say every guy gets his every girl, boy that was news to me
Til you came along like the words of a song, and then you set me free
Could it be the way you smile, or how you walk my mind for miles
But I know you're the one
All alone you occupy those neurons in my head
Something's happening to me, I'm dangling by a thread
I'm about to make the call, when caution says for me to stall
But this is what I'd say
You're just right for me, baby
You're just right for me
Maybe we could get together then you'll see
I'm all about being with you, let's go out and it'll hit you
You're just right, you're just right for me
Too afraid to find the truth, I think and hesitate
What if she says no to me, then what would I create
Summoning my anxiety, I pray and look at my decree
And think it through again
You're just right for me, baby
You're just right for me
Maybe we could get together then you'll see
I'm all about being with you, let's go out and it'll hit you
You're just right, you're just right for me
You like music so do I, let's dance away the night
We can make our poetry, just ask and I'll recite
When the winter carries us, I will hold you tight
If anything is ever wrong, I will make it right
(sax solo)
They say every guy gets his every girl, boy now I know that's true
So finally the question is if I am right for you
Surely you have seen me smile, and how you walk my mind for miles
But I know you're the one
You're just right for me, baby
You're just right for me
Maybe we could get together then you'll see
I'm all about being with you, let's go out and it'll hit you
You're just right, you're just right for me
